Primary Research Part 2

Using chalks and inks I created a few patterns that resemble shell forms, which I can try to adapt into 3D structures.

These chalk experiments could be potential forms for the overall paper structure.


Here I used acrylic paint and scratch into it using a palette knife to try to express the textures that I could use when designing the final form.

In this sketch I wanted to explore the patterns that can be repeated within the final form. I did this by pleating paper and then dipping that into watercolour paint and applying it directly to paper.
